Meet the case
Inspired by the California ground squirrels we met on our West Coast road trip through the USA, one of our favorite encounters and animals ever since.
Every squirrel on this case is based on one we actually met along the way, carefully illustrated and brought together in one design.
Designed by me, inspired by the wild.
This squirrel phone case is as kind to the planet as it is to your phone. It is made from a flexible yet tough blend of 100% biodegradable bioplastic and bamboo fiber, and once it has done its job, it fully biodegrades in compost after approximately six months. It is free of environmentally damaging phthalates, BPA, and cadmium, and it is certified FDA safety compliant (FDA 21 CFR 175.300).
The case is drop tested from 5 feet for shock absorption, and a raised rim keeps your screen off the table. The slimline, scratch-resistant shell is smooth yet non-slip, so it sits firmly in your hand with a natural look and feel, while the open ports leave every button and cable within reach.
Please note: the printed squirrels cover the whole back of the case, but the print does not wrap around the sides.

Is the phone case really biodegradable?
Yes. It is made from a 100% biodegradable mix of bioplastic and bamboo fiber and will fully biodegrade in compost after approximately six months. It contains no phthalates, BPA or cadmium.

To Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many more countries, all listed above. Because of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), I cannot ship to the EU at the moment. If your country is missing, join the waitlist.

About this piece
We met this curious California ground squirrel on our month-long road trip down Big Sur and fell in love with it right away. The phone case started out as a funny Christmas gift for Frank, but it turned out so special that he talked me into making the squirrel case famous one day.
